Torbay Tigers is an England Basketball Club with Club Mark Accreditation.

The Torbay Tigers Basketball Club has been running for over 30 years and is pleased to have assisted several young players to gain representative honours.

Sean Porter is currently at the Plymouth Marjons club in National League Div 2 Men and also trains with Plymouth Raiders BBL team. Last season Sean spent at Bristol Flyers having previously played at Reading Rockets. Jordan Culley is playing for Reading Rockets in National League Div 4 and also the Under 18 Premier South Division. Last season he was a regular member of the England Under 16 squad but was unlucky to miss out on selection for the 2009 European Championships.

The Torbay Tigers Senior team play their matches in the Exeter & District Men Premier League and had a great 08/09 season winning the league cup and finishing second in the Division 1 League Table. The Senior team are in the middle of their busy 09/10 season and you can track their progress in the Exeter & District Men Premier League

The Senior team are one of the most consistent sides in gaining honours in their league. The Senior team train and play matches on Thursday evenings at Churston Ferrers Grammar School 8.00pm - 10.00pm. Basketball courses for prospective coaches, referees and table officials are also promoted by the club.

YMCA Torbay Tigers is the youth wing of the Torbay Tigers Basketball Club which was awarded Club Mark accreditation in 2007. We run coaching sessions for young people from the age of 7 years into adulthood, and currently have teams playing in the England Basketball National League RAF Under 15s South West, and RAF Under 16s South West Conference leagues.

Our National League teams are based at Churston Ferrers Grammar School for training and matches. Initial coaching and development training takes place at the YMCA covering the younger age groups. Many of our young players also take part in the Torbay Central Venue Leagues at various age groups, this league has the aim of encouraging young people to take up basketball and identify prospective players to join the National League squads.
